Senior App Developer

Elexa Consumer Products, Inc. is headquartered in the Chicagoland area. Established in 1993 primarily as a supplier of electronic accessories to the global marketplace. Our international team designs and manufactures a wide range of Home Automation products under the brand names Dome and Guardian by Elexa. The products we create range from door sensors, alarms, leak detectors, automated water shut-off systems and more. Our goal is to create innovative devices that are easy to install and integrate while also providing convenience and security.

With an impending product launch and our growing momentum as a company, we are looking for a senior application developer to join our team and help us create a standout mobile experience for our product ecosystem.

This is an on-site contract role with the possibility of full-time employment after project completion.


  • Update and modifying existing software and generic applications

  • Manage full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, bug verification, and beta support

  • Generate user documentation for the applications developed

  • Work closely with firmware engineers to develop/implement product functionality


  • 7-10 years of iOS & Android app development experience preferred

  • Excellent understanding of iOS and Android application development tools, processes, and technologies

  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth app integration

Embedded Engineer

We are looking for an embedded software/firmware engineer to assist in prototyping, building, and bringing to market a wide variety of ground-breaking, high-visibility consumer products. You will have the opportunity to work with a great group of passionate engineers to help drive the creation of devices across a number of different industries and interesting use cases. In this role, you will take ownership of the firmware stack and work with the other members of the team to extend the underlying platforms by adding new software and hardware capabilities. That means supporting concept to production phases, including prototyping, engineering reviews, design, and component selection and developing hardware and software/firmware requirement documents and test plans.


  • Professional experience with micro controllers, developing in an embedded, preferably consumer-focused product environment.

  • Flexibility to adapt experience to support new applications/platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Z-Wave, LoRa, ZigBee, or other sub-GHz wireless protocols

  • Experience with 8051 and Tensilica Xtensa

  • Knowledge of Bluetooth and BLE transactions

  • Manufacturing software and diagnostics

  • Mobile development experience – iOS and/or Android

Sales Operations Administrator

Elexa Consumer Products, Inc. is searching for a detail-oriented and dedicated professional to join our growing team! This person will be working with the Sales and Operations departments with order entry, data collection and analysis as well as customer service and account management duties. This position is in a casual, small-office environment.


  • Order processing (via EDI system and e-mail)

  • Inventory Management

  • Order and shipping tracking

  • Learning and helping to implement a new CRM database

  • Setting up new customers in the database

  • Simple entry of A/P

  • Use of MS Office Suite and QuickBooks

Preferred Attributes

  • 2-5 years of professional office experience

  • Highly organized and process-oriented

  • High school degree or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field (preferred)

  • 0-2+ years of sales experience  

  • Excellent prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
